Yahoo Unveils a Flurry of Mobile 2.0 Distribution Deals

Yahoo has announced a spate of new distribution deals with a variety of wireless providers for its newly enhanced mobile product Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0
In addition, the new version of Yahoo’s mobile platform promises improved local mapping services, more customizable content from various news, sports, weather and entertainment partners, as well as more user-friendly photo-sharing capabilities.
Mobile media is a front that Yahoo execs believe the company can distance itself from competitors. “Yahoo intends to be the number one mobile Internet player globally,” said Marco Boerries, Yahoo’s senior vp of connected life. “Today we are changing the game by putting the full power of the open Internet into consumers’ pockets.”
